Brewers season is over

no more speaking about that.

Work was incredibly busy last night. Happy hour was booked, and the dining room was full until 10. Good night for everyone. I looked at the reservations for tonight and we have a full restaurant from 5-6:30 then absolutely nothing after that. Is there something going on that I'm not aware of tonight? Why does everyone have to be somewhere by 7?

In other news, Katie and I are thinking about looking for a house. This is gonna be incredibly difficult because I'm pretty sure neither of us are going to agree on anything. After seachring realtor.com I found some pretty cool ones up in the north suburbs that are decently priced. Some of them have enormous yards. The taxes up here are a joke though. That alone is making me consider a house in the city but I really don't think I can give up a yard. Living here is nice but I hate having to be considerate towards other people. I want to blast my stereo, scream obscenities at the brewers, and have people over on a school night without having to worry about upsetting the neighbors.
I have an idea -- I'm gonna post a list of things I'd look for in an ideal house.

1) A finished basement. This one is key because I've already been given verbal confirmation that if I get a basement, I'm allowed to decorate it however I want. Seeing how I couldn't do this to any other room in a house, I really want a basement. Hell, I'd even throw a bar and a tv next to the laundry machine.
2) A decent yard/deck. If I could grill out for every meal I would. I just got this weber grill off my wedding registry (thanks to the Rivases) and I'd love to be able to just keep it outside. Here I have to move in and out of the house because it'd literally take up half the back yard.
3) A kitchen with a lot of cabinets. We are loaded with kitchen appliances and dishes after the wedding. We have nowhere left to put it. I would definetly like a bigger kitchen.
4) A secret underground room that can be accessed from a backyard shed or garage. I would equip this room with security cameras that give me pictures of every room in the house. Then I'd require a mini fridge, a couple recliners, a tv, and an internet connection. Maybe a storage area where I could keep things like, ibuprofen, charcoal, extra milk and beer... just random things that I'd normally be sent to the store for. That would allow me to be like, "ok Katie, I'll go get that from the store... I'll be right back." Yet in reality I'd just go to my secret room and figure out my fantasy sports roster and read a few packer articles.

That is all I want, is it too much to ask?
