I want to post but...

I want to post something, anything.... but I got nothing. I ran out of sports. The only bit of entertainment I have left in my life is my xbox... that and america's funniest home videos reruns. Don't tell me the NBA is going on. That is just unwatchable to me. I got march madness coming up I guess but got all of february left. That is the worst month of the year in Milwaukee. You're already sick of winter but you got to deal with horrendous cold, snow, wind, and darkness. When do the brewers report for spring training? I checked out prices for renting a U-haul online the other day. I decided it makes more sense for me to buy a truck. Well, got to put the laundry in the drier now. The laundry room was empty when we went down there, yet for some reason when it's time to load the driers, all 8 of them are occupied. GO BREWERS!

New place to live...

Katie and I are about to send in our application and put a deposit down on the new place we're gonna live. It's the lower level of a duplex in shorewood. It was the second place we checked out. The more places we looked at, the more we ended up liking the place. It's a two bedroom going for 895. Major bonuses include onsite free laundry, 4 giant fron windows that swing open in the summer, ton of space, and large kitchen. Best part is that we're renting the place out from the people above us and the guy has premium satellite tv and internet already set up. We can just use it. So, no cable bills. That saves us around 150 a month. Got a driveway and a garage. No more parking 3 blocks away in -10 degree weather. Safe neighborhood so my car window won't keep being smashed in. I'll be able to keep this car stereo! We're also just a few blocks from wal-mart so any time i want anything I can go there. We start renting there march 1st, which kind of sucks because we're gonna get hit with double rent for a month plus have to pay a deposit. Would be nice to think we'd get some money back from the deposit on this place here but yeah... no way that's happening. Now I got to see what a U-haul costs for a day. Last I checked I think it made more sense to buy a truck. I'll post some pictures of the place as soon as we take pictures of the place. Until then, GO BREWERS!

The JOB!

Worked a few nights at the new job. I think I'm really gonna enjoy working there. From what I see, you never get busy, and you make a ton of money. I took one simple 4 top on my final night of training and I made 34 bucks. So if I take just 5 tables all night, I'm set. On weekends some people walk out of there with near $300. I have to memorize everything on the menu and the wine list and take some test on it tomorrow before I'm allowed to work on my own but I think I can handle that. The food is incredible. All seafood is flown in fresh. Steaks are cooked to perfection. Just an awesome place to work. PACKERS!!!

Back to that Cowboys Giants game. How beautiful was that? Seeing Jerry Jones up there on the sideline next to the coach at the end of the game. He totally expected the cowboys to score on that final drive. You know he put two tickets to the NFC title game in all their lockers before the game? So I guess we have a bunch of cowboys coming up to Green Bay this sunday. "That's my teammate... sob... sob... That's my quarterback... sniff... If you guys do that to him it's not fair... tear..." HA HA, go home TO. Anyone see that, what a load of BS. Thank you Jessica Simpson.

PACKERS! PACKERS! GIANTS! PACKERS!

Man, what a weekend. Packers absolutely demolished the seattle seahawks. After going down 14-0.... amazing. Watched the game over and my grandparents house. Actually I was only able to catch the 1st half, then I had to go to work. That was absolute torture. It was almost worth losing a job to catch the end of that but no. PACKERS!!! Now thanks to the terrible play of the Dallas Cowboys, we got the NY Giants coming to Lambeau. Oh, and yours truly will be there. Thanks dad! Last I checked we got a game time temperature of 7 degrees. That is cold. PACKERS!!!! I can almost guarantee the Packers will win this week, the Giants are devastated after these past two road wins. They could have two of their starting Dbacks injured. Imagine the packer 5 wide going against 2 practice squad corners. This could get ugly. Nothing about NY's offense scares me. They just suck. PACKERS!!! Remember that play where Favre was falling over and chucks one to Donald Lee for the 1st down? That was awesome. GO PACKERS, GO CHARGERS!

Hour before Conejitos

To celebrate my last night of unemployment, Katie and I are heading out to Conejitos. In other news, Packers are going to play the Seahawks next week. The way I see it, we have absolutely no excuse if we lose this one. God, Tomlinson just scored, I've grown to hate the Chargers. Anyone else agree? Ok, back to the Packers. The Seahawks are 3-5 on the road. The only reason they have so many wins on the year is due to their incredibly loud home stadium and their pathetic division. Their offense doesn't scare anyone. All they got is a solid pass rush that is a result of Kearney and many blitz packages. You blitz the Packers and they'll just nail you with the quick slants. Packers are gonna win this one by more than 10. Unless of course, Favre has one of "those" games. Man that'd be annoying, but I just don't see that happening against a team like Seattle because our D can shut them down... eliminating pressure on our offense. Another observation. I think Al Michaels and John Madden are the only two announcers I can tolerate in the NFL. GO PACK! Didn't everyone tell me Vince Young was supposed to be good?

HIRED!

Got hired at Bosley on Brady. Pretty high end restaurant. Check them out at http://www.bosleyonbrady.com/. Did another interview at this place called Shakers in Walkers Point. Now this place is crazy. We had to fill out some personality assessment that asks like, if you could eat dinner with three different people throughout history who would they be? It's just like, god, now I got to think about this. Then we get interviewed and he asks me questions like what do you know about single malt scotches. I said... absolutly nothing? Then he asks what I drink so I try to sound all fancy and say dirty vodka martini. So he goes and has the bartender fire one of those out for me at 6 o'clock. He has Katie and I sit at the bar, has us play bar dice with him, then shows us some of his tabs and special menu items. This place used to serve lion until it was illegal. Lion... then he has wild boar, wild deka japanese deer. Also had us eat roasted garlic. No bread, nothing to drink. Powerful stuff. Then we leave and he goes, well are you guys gonna contact me or should I call you or what? That was awkward... um call us if you want us to work here? Ok well I'm working now, so that's good. Rock on! GO PACK!

Happy New Year

We did the new years thing yesterday. Started out at Major Goolsbys because Ben wanted to watch the Indiana bowl game on the NFL network. That was entertaining for about 15 minutes. Then we ate some chili and burgers. Stopped back at my place for some wonderful 5 dollar champagne, then headed out to the Ale House. There was a $10 cover, which was apparently for a free champagne toast and party favors. I didn't get any champagne or party favors and I didn't watch their band. I want my ten dollars back. Ale House was over crowded and over priced. Getting a cab to go home was pretty hard... Last I saw Ben he was sprinting across the street to hop on some bus. Wonder if he made it? Now I have a cold. I'm sitting here barely watching this WI bowl game. Woke up way too early today because I couldn't sleep. Already played two games of Madden. By the way, I have put the Packers through every possible playoff scenario and according to my brilliant play calling and Madden ability, the Packers are gonna win the Superbowl.
